Easily Access Your Money

You should be able to access your Savings Bank accounts wherever you are. With our mobile banking services, you can access your accounts on your smartphone or tablet by downloading the Savings Bank mobile banking app. Once you’re logged into our mobile banking app, you’ll be able to:

  • Check your account balance
  • View your transaction history and check images online
  • Transfer money between your Savings Bank accounts
  • Initiate a bill payment

The Savings Bank mobile banking app is available for Apple and Android devices. You can download the app by selecting your app store provider. You must be enrolled in online banking to utilize Savings Bank mobile banking.

Mobile Deposit FAQs

Q: Who is eligible to use Mobile Deposit?

A: Mobile Banking users that have a qualified Checking, Savings, or Money Market account are eligible for Mobile Deposit.

Q: What types of checks can I deposit with Mobile Deposit?

A: Only checks drawn on institutions located in the United States can be processed through Mobile Deposit. This includes personal checks, business checks, Government/Treasury checks, cashier checks and money orders. Travelers Checks or third-party checks will not be accepted. Checks must be made payable to the owner of the account in order to be accepted through Mobile Deposit.

Q: Are there any types of accounts that I am not authorized to make a mobile deposit on?

A: You are not permitted to make mobile deposits to Health Savings or IRA accounts.

Q: What are the dollar amount limits on deposits made through Mobile Deposit?

A: Daily dollar limit is $10,000.00 with a maximum number of checks being 3.

Q: Are there any fees associated with using Mobile Deposit?

A: No, there are no fees being charged at this time.

Q: How do I begin using Mobile Deposit?

A: You need to download the Savings Bank Mobile App on your device.

Q: Do I photograph both the front and back of the check?

A: Yes, you will be required to capture an image of the front and back of your check.

Q: How do I endorse my check for Mobile Deposit?

A: Your endorsement will need to include the Payee’s Signature and "For Mobile Deposit Only." If the check is not endorsed properly, it will be declined by Savings Bank and you will need to resubmit the deposit with the proper endorsement.

Q: Do I need to fill out a deposit slip and take a photo of it to submit with the Mobile Deposit?

A: No, you do not need to complete a deposit slip.

Q: Can I photograph more than one check at a time?

A: You may only photograph one check per deposit.  You may submit multiple deposits.

Q: What is the cut-off time to make a Mobile Deposit?

A: If you make a Mobile Deposit before 1:30PM (CST) on a business day (Monday - Friday), your deposit will be posted by the end of the day. If a deposit is made with Mobile Deposit after 1:30PM (CST), on a weekend or a federal holiday, the deposit will be deposited on the next business day.

Q: When will a Mobile Deposit post to my account?

A: Deposits made prior to 1:30PM (CST) will normally be posted by 5:00PM when daily processing has occurred.

Q: How will I know if my deposit was received?

A: A message is displayed after the deposit is submitted that your deposit has been successfully submitted. This does not mean it has been approved.

Q: How will I know when my deposit has been processed?

A: The deposit will post to your account as “Savings BankSBPe Deposit.”

Q: What do I do with my check after I photograph for the deposit?

A: Savings Bank recommends that you retain the mobile deposited check for at least 60 days in a secure location. Do not write VOID on the check in the case that it is rejected and you need to resubmit it. After 60 days, the check can be destroyed.

Q: Will the image of the deposit appear on my statement?

A: No, an image of the check will not appear on your statement. It will be listed as an electronic deposit.

Q: A check I submitted was returned. Can I resubmit it?

A: No. If a check is returned, you may not re-deposit the check through Mobile Deposit. You will need to visit one of our branches to deposit the check.

Q: Who do I contact for additional information on Mobile Deposit?

A: Please call your local branch.

Q: Do I need a certain type of mobile phone to use Mobile Deposit?

A: No. Most Apple and Android smart phones are compatible with our Mobile App.

Q: What if the check image I photographed is bad?

A: You have the option to retake photographs of the check before submitting the deposit. If you are unable to photograph a clear image, please deposit the check at one of the Savings Bank locations.

Q: What steps have been taken for security?

A: In addition to a login password, we use multiple security layers. For added security, passwords and actual check deposit records or images should not be stored on the mobile device.

Here are some additional ways to ensure security:

  • Protect your password
  • Don’t keep your password in a location accessible to others
  • Don’t allow others to perform transactions for you
  • Notify the bank if you think your account has been breached
